Artist's I'm Loving

So I've decided to add a new monthly post called Artist's I'm Loving.
To kick off the proceedings I have chosen two male vocalist that I haven't been able to stop listening to.
First up...

Kwabs

This man has a voice from heaven. It's literally the smoothest voice I have ever heard in my whole existence. His new single Wrong or Right is what I would describe as Electronic Soul. It's got a strong driving beat topped with Kwabs buttery voice. A complete joy to listen to. Oh and being the noob that I am I met him on Monday while I was in the studio and totally acted like a fool... That's me.

Here is Kwabs track 'Wrong or Right'

Next to the plate...

MNEK

Also known as Uzoechi Osisioma Emenike. A 19 year old wonder which I'm sure a few of you have already heard of. He featured on Gorgon City's 'Ready for your love' which he also co-wrote.
This boy wonder has pipes like gold. And not only can he sing, he writes and produces as well! He co-wote Duke Dumonts 'Need U (100%)' which was nominated for a Grammy. And Little Mix's massive hit 'Wings'. He also has the most amazing dress sense and back in time haircut.
He's had his grubby little hands on 10 hits... sickening isn't it, he can't even legally drink in America and he's been nominated for a Grammy. Sigh. Anyway, yeah he's amazing... Whatevs.

Here is his track 'Don't Call This Love'

Brit Award inspired post (2013)

In homage to the Brit Awards I fancied doing a personal post about music and it's influence on me and my career. Basically I thought I'd fill you in about me first. So I'm a Singer/Songwriter, I'm currently writing my album. I've written for a few famous acts like Rudimental.

My music is a mix of Blues, Hip hop, Soul, Indie and a dash of pop. I've been singing since I can remember really and I knew thats what I always wanted to do. I grew up listening to Marvin Gaye, Coldplay, Aretha Franklin, The Rolling Stones and The Who. So a mixed bag really!

At the moment I'm loving Bastille, Santigold, Mumford and Sons, Lana Del Rey, Ben Howard and Everything Everything. Again, mixed bag.

If I had to pick one LEGENDARY album it would have to be Marvin Gaye's What's going on. EPIC!

Music and fashion go hand in had, I love watching music videos to not only hear the songs but see what the artistes are wearing. My music style icons Old and New would have to be Shirley Bassey and Paloma Faith.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy watching the Brits tonight! I know I will! Let me know who you want to win what. I'd love Ben Howard to win British Breakthrough act!

Enjoy!
