Behind the scenes of my photo shoot with Linda Blacker

So here are the behind the scene shots from my photo shoot with Linda Blacker, taken by Jenni dearest!
It was such a fun day I actually can't wait to do another one. Despite the fact it was FREEZING the location was amazing. If you have never been to Leake Street in Waterloo I definitely recommend a Visit.

The piece I'm standing next to here was my favourite. It captured you instantly and made you wonder what the artist imagined her looking at.

Leake street photo shoot with Linda Blacker

Last week I had a photo shoot with Linda Blacker who was featured in an earlier post.
The photo shoot was in Leake Street in Waterloo. Leake Street is amazing it is pretty much a gallery for talented street artist and the perfect backdrop for my photo shoot.
There is no point trying to explain the shoot with words so here are pictures to explain all!

My Vintage Shopping Trip With Amber Hall

Wednesday I caught up with my friend and fellow blogger Amber Hall (http://ambermadeyoulook.blogspot.co.uk/). Amber is the queen of vintage shopping so we thought who better to go with than Amber. We decided Portobello was our destination.
As well as shopping we had a catch up coffee. We talked about fashion, science, our futures, Russia, france and much more.
It was such a lovely day out.

The beautiful Amber collecting her bargains! And her £5 find.

Me in torment over this Dr Marten Leather Jacket (I didn't buy it in the end).

Should have bought it... gutted.

Brit Award inspired post (2013)

In homage to the Brit Awards I fancied doing a personal post about music and it's influence on me and my career. Basically I thought I'd fill you in about me first. So I'm a Singer/Songwriter, I'm currently writing my album. I've written for a few famous acts like Rudimental.

My music is a mix of Blues, Hip hop, Soul, Indie and a dash of pop. I've been singing since I can remember really and I knew thats what I always wanted to do. I grew up listening to Marvin Gaye, Coldplay, Aretha Franklin, The Rolling Stones and The Who. So a mixed bag really!

At the moment I'm loving Bastille, Santigold, Mumford and Sons, Lana Del Rey, Ben Howard and Everything Everything. Again, mixed bag.

If I had to pick one LEGENDARY album it would have to be Marvin Gaye's What's going on. EPIC!

Music and fashion go hand in had, I love watching music videos to not only hear the songs but see what the artistes are wearing. My music style icons Old and New would have to be Shirley Bassey and Paloma Faith.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy watching the Brits tonight! I know I will! Let me know who you want to win what. I'd love Ben Howard to win British Breakthrough act!

Enjoy!

Little Elephant

Yesterday I went to the city to meet up with Linda Blacker, Linda Blacker is an incredible photographer. Linda is 21 years old and lives in Essex (yes i know she is only 21!). We were meeting to talk about potential photo shoots for both myself and my fashion line. I am planning to get some promo shots together for my music. When I was looking for the right photographer thats when I came across Linda Blacker's Facebook page and thought this is the photographer I want to do my shoot! Linda is an amazing story teller, she uses her photography as her medium. She is an extremely versatile photographer and is awesome at editing photos. We can't wait to work with her!
Here are a few photos of her beautiful work:

You can find more of Linda's work on her website:

So after I met Linda I decided to go for a wonder knowing Spitalfields Market was only down the road.

I got there at 4pm an hour before the market closes which we found was the perfect time to go as all the stalls reduce their prices, and thats where I spotted little Elephant.

This is Little Elephant, little elephant is a Chinese sterling silver elephant pendant that caught my eye straight away.

In chinese culture an Elephant represents:

Happiness
Longevity
Good Luck
