Artist's I'm Loving

So I've decided to add a new monthly post called Artist's I'm Loving.
To kick off the proceedings I have chosen two male vocalist that I haven't been able to stop listening to.
First up...

Kwabs

This man has a voice from heaven. It's literally the smoothest voice I have ever heard in my whole existence. His new single Wrong or Right is what I would describe as Electronic Soul. It's got a strong driving beat topped with Kwabs buttery voice. A complete joy to listen to. Oh and being the noob that I am I met him on Monday while I was in the studio and totally acted like a fool... That's me.

Here is Kwabs track 'Wrong or Right'

Next to the plate...

MNEK

Also known as Uzoechi Osisioma Emenike. A 19 year old wonder which I'm sure a few of you have already heard of. He featured on Gorgon City's 'Ready for your love' which he also co-wrote.
This boy wonder has pipes like gold. And not only can he sing, he writes and produces as well! He co-wote Duke Dumonts 'Need U (100%)' which was nominated for a Grammy. And Little Mix's massive hit 'Wings'. He also has the most amazing dress sense and back in time haircut.
He's had his grubby little hands on 10 hits... sickening isn't it, he can't even legally drink in America and he's been nominated for a Grammy. Sigh. Anyway, yeah he's amazing... Whatevs.

Here is his track 'Don't Call This Love'

I'm Back Bitches!

So ladies and gentlemen, I'm Back!
I've been on quite a long blogging hiatus due to focusing on the music.
Over the past 6 months a lot has happened. I've released my first single 'No More', finished my EP and shot the video for my next video featuring Jordan Reece.

I also had an amazing shoot with Linda Blacker on Dungress beach which has been featured on over 15 blogs. This is my favourite image from the shoot.

It was an amazing location to shoot at. I've just planned my next photo shoot with Linda Blacker.
I'm extremely excited to be working with Linda again.

Another massive thing for me... I got an invite to LFW!
Going to London fashion week has been a massive wish of mine and finally I got to go (Thanks to stylist Rickardo Mattocks-Maxwell who styled my up-coming video Dirty Love) .
I went with my friend Victoria to see Shao Yen's 'Ripple' collection. It was a stunning collection and a beautiful show.

So I think we're up to date now...
I'll get back to you if there's anything I've missed out regarding the goings on during my hiatus.

It's good to be back!

Behind the scenes of my photo shoot with Linda Blacker

So here are the behind the scene shots from my photo shoot with Linda Blacker, taken by Jenni dearest!
It was such a fun day I actually can't wait to do another one. Despite the fact it was FREEZING the location was amazing. If you have never been to Leake Street in Waterloo I definitely recommend a Visit.

The piece I'm standing next to here was my favourite. It captured you instantly and made you wonder what the artist imagined her looking at.

Leake street photo shoot with Linda Blacker

Last week I had a photo shoot with Linda Blacker who was featured in an earlier post.
The photo shoot was in Leake Street in Waterloo. Leake Street is amazing it is pretty much a gallery for talented street artist and the perfect backdrop for my photo shoot.
There is no point trying to explain the shoot with words so here are pictures to explain all!

My Vintage Shopping Trip With Amber Hall

Wednesday I caught up with my friend and fellow blogger Amber Hall (http://ambermadeyoulook.blogspot.co.uk/). Amber is the queen of vintage shopping so we thought who better to go with than Amber. We decided Portobello was our destination.
As well as shopping we had a catch up coffee. We talked about fashion, science, our futures, Russia, france and much more.
It was such a lovely day out.

The beautiful Amber collecting her bargains! And her £5 find.

Me in torment over this Dr Marten Leather Jacket (I didn't buy it in the end).

Should have bought it... gutted.

Brit Award inspired post (2013)

In homage to the Brit Awards I fancied doing a personal post about music and it's influence on me and my career. Basically I thought I'd fill you in about me first. So I'm a Singer/Songwriter, I'm currently writing my album. I've written for a few famous acts like Rudimental.

My music is a mix of Blues, Hip hop, Soul, Indie and a dash of pop. I've been singing since I can remember really and I knew thats what I always wanted to do. I grew up listening to Marvin Gaye, Coldplay, Aretha Franklin, The Rolling Stones and The Who. So a mixed bag really!

At the moment I'm loving Bastille, Santigold, Mumford and Sons, Lana Del Rey, Ben Howard and Everything Everything. Again, mixed bag.

If I had to pick one LEGENDARY album it would have to be Marvin Gaye's What's going on. EPIC!

Music and fashion go hand in had, I love watching music videos to not only hear the songs but see what the artistes are wearing. My music style icons Old and New would have to be Shirley Bassey and Paloma Faith.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy watching the Brits tonight! I know I will! Let me know who you want to win what. I'd love Ben Howard to win British Breakthrough act!

Enjoy!
